Nigerians Are Mourning Popular Nollywood Actor John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, who has died at the age of 62

 October 2023, in an earlier interview Mr Ibu revealed that he was suffering from an ailment suspected to be diabetes, which he said he was struck by the problem while on movie set with colleagues. 

Mr John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu, born on October 17th 1961, He was from Umunekwu in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Nigeria South East Enugu State.

He died on Saturday 2nd of March 2024, qt the age of 62. The actor’s health issues first came to public attention last year. One of his legs was amputated in November after fans donated to a crowd-funding scheme for his medical bills.

He then appealed to his fans and the public for prayers and financial assistance to cover his hospital bills. 

Latest update:                                                                  Mr Ibu’s adopted daughter Jasmine Okafor has reportedly taken over Mr Ibu all verified accounts (TikTok, instagram etc) which have had over millions of followers. News had it that Jasmine changed the account names to hers immediately after the pass of The Actor Mr Ibu. 

It was said that Mr Ibu’s adopted daughter changed the accounts from Realmribu to her own name LADY JASMINE. Many believe that’s reason behind her actions, while other think it’s the best thing to do because of hackers.
